With a modest score of 171, Faisal Relativo ranked number 14 after the initial game but then hit 212 and 233 to be on top with 616 in Group CD at the end of the 3-game series with handicap elimination in the Flilipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group quest for the bowler of May 2008 at the Bowling City here recently. Francis Alquiros, who led the race with 411 after two games, challenged Relativo with 612 with games of 203, 208 and 201. Melvin Lising, who muscled a 229 ender, qualified third with 611. Completing the top 6 on CD were Archie Santos (580), Jimmy Leonida (576) and Romy Antonio (573). Sulaiman Ibrahim was on top of Group AB with the score of 645, including an explosive 269 scratch on the second game. Hani Al Toki (642), Amro Al Amri (637), Ernie Geslani (633), Feras Sahel (626) and Toto Lim (622) advanced to the finals with Sulaiman in Group AB. In the two-game finals, Relativo was dominant with a games of 244 and 262. His nearest rival Sahel challenged with scores of 229 and 223 scratch on the first game. Alquiros, Al Toki and Lim kept their pace with 225, 223 and 219. As Sahel finished ahead with 188 the cool Relativo bowled for a 191 to clinch the May championship with 453. Sahel landed first runner-up spot with 417, Alquiros was third with 397 and Lim fourth. Relativo can now take part in the FEDBG Bowler of Year Quest 2008 on Dec. 12. In ladies section the class A bowlers showed their superlative kegling skills by toppling the top four of their 4-game series with handicap sudden-death contest. Toughest among them was the petite Grace Dasas who emerged as the May Champion by finishing with a score of 825. Dasas humbled her rivals with games of 182, 227, 207 and 205. Aisah Silabay started lowly but shocked all with 263 explosion on game 2, but settled for first runner-up spot with 780. Lourdes was third with 760 and Tess Marasigan embraced fourth place with 743. Making to top 10 were Aleli Sacdo, Malou Gime, Malou Nidoy, Vangie Lim, Nurissa Ramos and Tess Grandia. __
