Haj for money If a person took some money to perform Haj (about SR3,000 excluding the sacrificial animal) on behalf of someone who passed away, will he receive the reward of Haj? And will the person who passed away and the one who paid the money also receive the reward of Haj? Some people are issuing Fatwas that we do not know of. They say that the one who performed the Haj gets no reward because he took the money in place of his reward for Haj. If the person took money to perform Haj only for worldly gain, then he is in an extremely dangerous position because of that. It is feared that his Haj will not be accepted because he preferred this world to the Hereafter. However, if he took the money while hoping for that which is with Allah (of reward), to benefit his Muslim brother by performing Haj on his behalf, and so that he could participate with the Muslims in the sacred rites of Haj, (then that's a different thing). If he took the money while hoping for the reward one gets for Tawaf and prayer in the Grand Mosque and attending the circles of knowledge, then this is very good. It is hoped that such a person will receive a reward like the reward of whoever he performed Haj for. Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Fatwa Fatawa Islamiyah, vol. 4, p. 64 Wet dream I performed the obligation of Haj and during one night while I was in Mina, I had a wet dream and I was not able to bathe. Is there any sin on me? Having a wet dream while in Ihram during Haj or Umrah does not affect the pilgrimage. Thus, they are not invalidated by it. If this happens to someone, i.e. if he sees any semen when he wakes up, he should perform Ghusl (complete bathing of sexual impurity). There is no ransom or atonement due on you, because the wet dream does not occur by your choice. Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Fatwa Fatawa Islamiyah, vol. 4, p. 150 Sex invalidates pilgrimage Is it obligatory for someone who had sex before the first phase of removing the Ihram to repeat the Haj, while knowing that his Haj was a voluntary one? If he had sex before the first phase of removing the Ihram, his Haj is corrupted. He must complete it and make up for it after that, even if it was a voluntary Haj, as the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) ruled. He must also sacrifice a camel and distribute its meat among the poor people of Makkah. Sheikh Bin Baz Fatawa Islamiyah vol.4, p.147 __
