The Head of the Court of Administrative Appeal in the Eastern Province, who is also the Acting President of the Administrative Court in Dammam, Ibrahim Al-Rasheed, has described some government employees as “toxic weeds” who need to undergo intensive training to do their jobs. Al-Rasheed said the Board of Grievances is concerned about the training and development of its employees. He said these “toxic weeds” serve only to “annoy departments”. He said they should attend training courses. He said that a judge has to attend at least four courses a year on emotional intelligence, importance of change, modern concepts and strategic planning. Meanwhile, Al-Rasheed said that work is ongoing to open an electronic system at courts in Riyadh soon, through which a case is filed and appointments for hearings set up. He said the system will be applied in Riyadh first and then the rest of the country.
