Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) held the prize distribution function of the JCA Premier League Championship for the Kanoo Cup here recently. The Premier League, which is the main event of the JCA cricket league tournaments, was sponsored by Kanoo Group. The chief guest was Ali Abdullah Kanoo, Director of Kanoo Group. Other guests who graced the ceremony from Kanoo Group were Osman Sultan Ali, Regional Coordination Manager for Western Province, and Muzaza Al-Ghamdi Personnel & Public Relation Manager. for Western Province. The ceremony began with the recitation from the holy Qur'an and it was anchored by Syed Majeedul Hassan, General Secretary. Abdulrehman A. Merchant briefed the Kanoo Group's contribution as a sponsor for 20 years and participant from 1986. Kanoo also sponsors cricket teams in Dammam, Bahrain and Yanbu. The encouragement from Kanoo management particularly Khalid Kanoo and Ali Kanoo has produced excellent performance by its cricket teams. Kanoo teams have reaped in more than 60 trophies. Ali Abdullah Kanoo thanked the JCA committee for organizing the tournament for the benefit of the cricketers. He also congratulated the Kanoo Premier division winners Al-Hijaz-XI, runner-up Barracuda ICC and third-placed Kanoo. He also praised Kanoo Travel team for winning the JCA Division-II Championship for Jotun Paints Cup.
