Bentley Motors appoints new dealer in Jeddah

Bentley Motors has appointed Al -Ghassan Motors as its new authorized Bentley dealer in Jeddah effective last April 19 as the final part of the restructuring of the Bentley franchise in the Kingdom, which provides Bentley with sales and service facilities in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Khobar.
This opportunity gives Al-Ghassan sole partnership rights for Saudi Arabia and an opportunity to extend their already successful and professional service in the market. Saudi Arabian Markets, which was the authorized dealer for the British brand in Jeddah, handed over its responsibility to the new company Al-Ghassan Motors - which already operates a successful franchises for Bentley in Riyadh and Al- Khobar and also hold official sole dealer franchises for Bugatti and Lamborghini in the Kingdom.

In 2007 Bentley sold approx 100 cars within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and once the new operation is established in Jeddah our sales potential is forecast to exceed 140 cars per year.Bahrain Logistics Zone and Danzas sign MOUMANAMA - Danzas AEI Intercontinental, the Bahraini operating arm of DHL Global Forwarding, has signed up as the first anchor tenant at the Bahrain Logistics Zone on Tuesday after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to lease serviced warehouse space for conducting freight forwarding activities in Bahrain and the GCC region.
The signing ceremony was held at the General Organization of Sea Ports and was attended by Sheikh Daij Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, chairman of the General Organization of Sea Ports in Bahrain for Bahrain Logistics Zone, and Enver Moretti President and CEO EMA Region, DHL Global Forwarding on behalf of Danzas AEI Intercontinental Bahrain.
The MOU is the umbrella for the collaboration between the two companies, who will now begin negotiations for the lease of serviced logistics facilities at the Bahrain Logistics Zone in Khalifa Bin Salman Port.
Focusing on local and international companies interested in expanding to the region, the zone will be the first of its kind in the Middle East to open a boutique-style logistics area that focuses on re-export and value-adding logistics activities. The combination of highly developed road, sea and air connections provides significant opportunities for businesses wishing to deploy a multi-modal logistics strategy.
Sheikh Daij commented at the signing that this is a positive step to boost Bahrain's visibility as a logistics hub for the region. “The Bahrain Logistics Zone has made a major commitment to the goal of being the logistics hub for the Northern Gulf. The MoU with Danzas demonstrates the magnitude of the project.”
BLZ will have a unique component - an ultra-modern sea port with a capacity of 1.5 M TEUs and world-class customs processes facilitating re-exports throughout the Bahrain surrounding region.
Enver Moretti said, “Danzas has always seen Bahrain as an important part of its international expanding operations and is proud to support the emergence of Bahrain as a logistics hub in the Gulf.”
“This is only the beginning of the BLZ - which will open its gates in September - and we are looking forward to announcing many more partnerships in the coming months,” added Sheikh Daij.ALDAR awards contracts for Coconut IslandABU DHABI - ALDAR, the renowned Abu Dhabi-based international property developer, on Tuesday announced that it has appointed RW Armstrong & Associates as Architect of Record for its Coconut Island project, a premium island resort and gated residential development located off the Abu Dhabi west coast. The project is a joint venture with National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCT&H).
RW Armstrong & Associates will prepare detailed architectural and engineering designs as well as supervise the construction, ensuring that the design intent for this prestigious project is met. Completion of the project is anticipated in early 2011.
Rami Hreiki, senior development manager at ALDAR Properties, said: “Both ALDAR and NCT&H are equally committed to upholding high quality standards in all aspects of their work; to deliver on the spectacular promise that Coconut Island holds.
