Yemen intends to hand over Abdullah Abudlrahman Al-Harbi, who was arrested in Yemen on Sunday, to Saudi Arabia. Yemen had previously handed over other suspects to the Kingdom including Muhammad Atiq Al-Oufi who was apprehended last month. Mohammad Bin Ali Al-Ahwal, the Yemeni Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, told Saudi Gazette over the phone that all channels are open to hand over other suspects to the Kingdom in the future in accordance with the security agreement signed by the two countries and their security cooperation and coordination in combating terrorism. After the arrest of Al-Oufi and Al-Harbi, 23 suspects including two Yemenis in the Kingdom's 85 wanted list are believed to be in Yemen. Meanwhile, Abdulrahman, the father of Abdullah Al-Harbi, said his son disappeared seven months ago, leaving a letter under his pillow in which he asked his family to pray for him to obtain martyrdom. Al-Harbi's family is living in Al-Kurdi District in Madina. According to the father, Abdullah joined the marine forces and his family had not seen him for several years. They heard about his arrest in trying to cross into Iraq. Authorities told the family that Al-Harbi was detained in Ahsa Prison at that time. “The government then transferred him to Madina prison so we can visit him,” the father said, adding “he was released within a year and was granted SR20,000 one-time payment and SR2,000 monthly salary by the government.” “He did not appreciate our care and his mother's illness that is increasing with every bad news we hear about him,” the distraught father said.
