Saudi students abroad are not suffering. There are many different systems put in place by the government to help them at every step. They are better taken care of than millions of people who have to forge their way by themselves. This is the age of technology and email. I am sure the bank has ways to fix this issue from abroad as there are so many Saudi students abroad now who must face this problem. The government does more than is required. It is time these students grow up and take responsibility for themselves. Hss Hss I know many Saudis on scholarship abroad and all of them blossom and grow. They did their degrees successfully and came home happily. Of course you cannot expect a five-star hotel life as a scholarship student. But none of them suffered. Amelita Surtikanti There is a simple answer to all of the sufferings of students abroad. Spend money to open schools, colleges and universities inside Saudi Arabia, so no one will go abroad and suffer. It is very important that money should be spent on this rather than on cars, houses and all the luxuries of the world. Saudis should learn to do something by themselves instead of depending on people from all over the world. Yasmin Shah The students are suffering? Well let me tell you, these kids are lucky! How many young people cannot afford to go to university? How many governments cannot afford to send their students abroad to be educated? Crissy Adam Most students from all over the world suffer in the same manner. That is what student life is all about! It is a good lesson for everyone to learn how to take care of themselves. The earlier we learn, the better it is for us. These students should be thankful that their government is paying their expenses, not like many students who study in the morning and work at night to be able to pay their tuition fees. Omm AbdurRahman Is this the worst plight of a Saudi student? He forgot to pay his phone bill? It's called life. People deal with things like this every single day. It can be solved through organization, maturity and responsibility. Honestly, nobody should get a PhD if they are lacking these basic values. This is not a sad story at all. It is the story of a lazy student who is unorganized and can't remember when to pay his bills and can't balance his school work and his personal life. To use the word “suffering” to describe this situation shows a complete lack of understanding and respect for the term. Americans in Saudi Arabia
