Here are three recommendations to make education in Saudi Arabia successful. First, discipline both students and parents. They should cooperate with the programs in the school. Parents should not tolerate their children's attitudes toward teachers and school. Parents should work hand in hand with the school to mold the future of their children; they should be the ones who discipline their children and make them good students. Second, students and parents should be informed about the importance of having a good education. Students should be encouraged to set goals for their future. Third, there should be strict observation of students' activities in and out of school by parents, government, school authorities and other organizations or ministries. Parents should be liable for any wrongdoing on the part of their children. Parents and the government should not tolerate students who do not respect teachers. It should be inculcated in the minds of children that teachers are their secondary parents and that they must be respected. Albert Taclay The method of teaching needs to change. Stop teaching kids to memorize generic answers and start teaching them to ask questions and look for answers. Safoora Nana Just let nature take its course. You can't force schools to embellish the exam results of students. There is nowhere in the world where a class of 30 students has 28 As and 2 Bs and zero fails. Just let students get what they deserve. Meanwhile, stop buying useless American curricula. It is not meant for you. Just hire experts to develop a custom-made curriculum that suits the Saudi people.
