Exporting terror
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 15 - 08 - 2015

“Are we the ones exporting terror?” (Aug. 13) is a brilliant piece by Abdullah Al-Nasser about exporting terror from Saudi Arabia.
Leaving aside ideology and beliefs, it is not possible for a country to support a terror organization like Daesh (the self-proclaimed IS) which will fight in various countries and create terror.
And what would be the purpose of doing so? The way Daesh soldiers are dressed and the way they pose before cameras makes me wonder whether these are real soldiers or actors being used as face cover.
I would like to tell you a fairy tale. On the planet Mars there were many countries and a few were stronger than others.
The weaker ones believed in one God and concentrated their efforts on good behavior, a pious life and preparation for an afterlife on another planet.
The stronger ones concentrated on enjoying a good life on the planet Mars itself. The stronger ones starved some weaker countries to produce a frustrated lot of youths whom they later bribed with some money and a little bit of brainwashing.
These youths then went ahead and did exactly what the stronger countries wanted them to do, e.g., suicide bombing. Since the stronger countries had the media with them, they told the world exactly what they wanted to and everybody believed them since there was no other alternative.
The stronger countries created Taliban, Osama Bin Laden, Daesh, etc., whom they claimed they were fighting against to make their home countries safe.
It was like claiming that we are killing flies to make our citadel safe. In this process, they destroyed a number of countries directly by bombing and over a long term by creating factions, supporting all of them in their single-minded aim of destroying the very country which gave birth to them.
In this effort their own armies, intelligence agencies and media played a very big role. As a matter of fact, it was clear later on that it was their armies which were destroying weaker nations, for their oil and land, even though it appeared that there was infighting going on.
This was a perfect recipe for those who wanted to aggrandize power, accumulate wealth and increase their intelligence in all spheres and yet remain respectable in the eyes of the entire planet of Mars, so much so that people were falling over each other in their attempt to be a resident of that country.
All this was possible because this strong country was pursuing a policy of “all-inclusiveness”. They would accept talent from all over Mars and use it against other countries to enslave them while the weaker countries were exclusive and wanted only their race to prosper.
The weaker nations would feel that all others were below them and as a result they lost whatever they had. They paid scant respect to justice, hard work and above all to the value of talent.
