Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — The North Indian Fraternity Forum (NIFF) organized a well-attended iftar party at a local restaurant here recently. The party was attended by Consul General of India B.S. Mubarak, Raghib Qureshi, consul education and head of chancery, and other senior consulate officials. A sum of about SR5,000 was collected on the occasion for the NIFF charity fund to be utilized for the welfare of needy Indian expatriates, said Khwaja Nasir Jamal, general secretary of the forum. Active social and dawa worker Bahjat Najmi exhorted all those present to donate whatever in their means to the poor, needy and the downtrodden. In his welcome address, Najmi recalled the contribution of several Muslim leaders who worked ceaselessly for the welfare of the community without ever expecting anything in return.
