This is in response to the article, “Rewarding the employees,” in Saudi Gazette (June 8). The top management must understand that "a discontented lot (staff) is always a burden." They may "do the work" but there will be very limited productivity/commitment level. The author is right that there should be a simple reward system that would encourage and appreciate the employees.
