YANBU — Dastagir with his century and Zia with figures of 6-7 lit up the YACA MoneyGram CKB Tournament here.
Pak Crescent downed GT Warriors by 119 runs. Pak Crescent started shakily but Sarfaraz (60 in 52 balls) added 153 for the 4th wicket with Saleem (81 not out) with 4 huge sixes and 8 fours to take the team to 196 for 4. GT Warriors, in chase, was bundled out for 77 as Basheer top scored with 28. Maher took 3-25 and Sarfaraz 3-10.
The second match saw Cristaland beat Young Fighters by 80 runs. Cristaland produced 137 as Sagheer stroked 40. Muzammil bowled devastatingly to take 4-18. Young Fighters, in reply, were bundled out for 57 as Zia sliced through the batting line-up with figures of 6-7 in 2.4 overs. Only two Young Fighters batsmen crossed into double-digit score.
In the third match, Saudi Ossan trounced Pak-XI by 22 runs. Saudi Ossan batted first to pile up 110 for 9 in 20 overs as A. Shah top scored with 27. Nadeem took 2-17, Aqeel 2-19, Wasim 2-20 and Faheem 2-28. Pak-XI was bowled out for 88 as Qazi smashed 29. Kaleemullah scalped 2-21, Mohtashim 2-23 and Osama 2-14.
Mangalore Challengers thrashed Green Stars by 86 runs. Mangalore Challengers, batting first, racked up 206 for 3 as Shihab hammered 90 in 59 balls as he added 104 with Shiyam (49). Sadiq claimed 2 for 25. Green Stars, in reply, was restricted to 120. Ahmed made 27 and Sibghatullah 25. Irfan claimed 2-31.
Yanbua Youth humbled Pak Crescent Blue by 7 wickets. Pak Crescent Blue, batting first, was restricted to 76 with Nadeem making 26. Salman scalped 3 for 7. Yanbu Youth reached 81 for the loss of 3 wickets as Salman stroked 33. Faisal grabbed 2 for 23.
Kashmir-XI defeated Green Stars by 61 runs. Kashmir-XI put on 190 for 4 as Hamid slammed 68 in 35 balls with 4 boundaries. Sadiq took 2-18. Green Stars, in reply, was bowled out for 129. Ahmed blasted 34 and Sibghatullah 20. Tariq claimed 3 for 12.
Indo Riders thrashed Shah-XI by 9 wickets. Shah-XI posted 119 for 7 as Ali Shah top scored with 35. Indo Riders achieved the winning post in 14 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Jassam remained unbeaten on 52 off 41 balls with 6 fours and 2 maximums as Mohammed supported him with 43.
STICCO downed SARCO by 34 runs in a high scoring match. Sticco, put into bat, took the advantage to blast 216 for 4 as Sabz Ali Shah hit 37 and Dastagir smashed 110 in 91 balls as the duo added 165 for the opening wicket. S. Aukale took 2-41. Sarco managed 182 for 6. S. Aukale top scored with 54 in 50 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. Waseem claimed 2 for 33. — SG
