In the article "The midlife crisis" (Feb. 28), a young Saudi women complains that her mother "acts like a teenager". It is interesting to read that someone has the idea that it is wrong for a woman to act younger than she is. In my country, youth is characterized by energy, creativity and playfulness. Older people who still have these traits are admired, and their children (except teens, who are embarrassed by all types of parents!) are proud of them. Or if not, the embarrassment over a mother's brightly colored dress is not taken so seriously! Karinn, Online response
