This is in reference to the article, “Downtown Jeddah's parking woes leave drivers in a bind.” In many west European cities the same problems occur. Jeddah is no exception. There are easy solutions for that. Around the historical centers on walking distances the municipalities have built several tower parking building, encircling the inner city. These parking buildings can contain thousands of cars each, divided over up to 8,10 or 12 levels. Paid parking and a ban on free parking should be introduced.
