Almarai claims back-to-back Team of the Week award

Almarai Company keglers, mentored by Onar Garcia, seared lanes to bag their back-to-back Team of the Week award while Rocky Manipon of Ericsson captured the week's best bowler award in the 31st week of the FBGR Thursday Bowling League, 7th Conference.
The league is sponsored by Almarai Company and also supporting the tourney is the ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC).
It was the heroics of Jun Daniel, Onar Garcia and Romy Cabrillas that powered Almarai past Alsalam Aircraft, 18-1 and helped Almarai bag the back-to-back Team of the Week award. Banayag stole thunder by posting an impressive four-game series of 859 while Garcia and Cabrillas contributed separate series of 729 and 725. Jonathan Banayag and Marlon Pagulayan rolled separate series of 688 and 525.
Topscoring in Alsalam with a blind player was Rollie Cleofe (766 points). Buddy Balisi and Mohammed Yasser came next by tallying an identical series of 678 while Benjie Valderama scored 658.
Incredibowls squeezed past Stesa-Thales, 14-8, through the fiery performances of Bert Lopez (810), Ferdie Ramos (782), Willie Ortega (736), Gig Enriquez (711) and Joe Ligon (685).
Boni Manalang fired 739 points to topscore in Stesa-Thales and he was followed by Ruben Babasa (734), Marvin Arocena (731)and Abe Abulencia (681). Dante Cambare had 540.
Ariel Feliciano and AJ Bonifacio lifted Orbit Pinoy Plus to post 13-4 victory against Fuji Elevators. Feliciano and AJ led in Orbit Pinoy Plus by hitting separate series of 791 and 766. The other good scorers were Resty de Jesus (694), Nelson Respicio (548) and Ben Valdez (471). Atoi Ramos had 284 series in two games.
For Fuji Elevators, on top was Wilson Bacala with 673 points and he was followed by Jerry Austria (633) and Boy Mirando (632). Thong Asuncion and Edgar Buenaventura chipped in 392 and 391 while Chito Llagas downed 271.
Despite Rocky Manipon's fine performance, the week's best bowler awardee, Ericsson bowed to back-to-back champion Gran Matador, 9-12. Manipon carded 825 points. Emil Rances and Pogie Dionisio sealed 725 and 722 while Arnold Marchan shared 677 points and Ric Tugonon added 519 in three games.
The deadly duo of Willy de Mesa and Rico Feria lifted Grand Matador by tallying separate series of 824 and 806 while Jojo Paciano and Fareed Aquino submitted 753 and 690. Rodel Molina and Rene Arimbuyutan rolled 347 and 340 series in two matches.
Saudi British Bank dismantled D'Bagitos, 13-2 through Mike Ecalnir (796), Jun Bantug (726) and Leo Mabunga (713).
Fahad Al-Haza was on top in D'Bagitos with 746 points and next to him were Mario Salvador (676), Omar Valdez (627) and Raul Concepcion (611).
Five vs. Five nipped LHC, 12-10 and at the helm in Five vs Five were Edwin Nunez (768) and Glenn Espiritu (749). For LHC, Ben Torrefiel led by knocking down 745 points and Arnold Salcedo had 659 points.
