Once again, bowling enthusiasts will witness an array of top bowlers in action for the coveted titles at the 2008 Pre-Haj Eid All Events Bowling Tournament on Nov. 26-28, being organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). The event is sponsored by the Saudi Telecom, Al-Nawakhz Trading-Treasure Island and Al-Karawan Ind. Co. Ltd. Also supporting the tourney are the ABC-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC) and the InterCon Riyadh Hotel. Due to the limited days and time of the competition, FBGR have to reduce the number of participants to 18 teams instead of 24. Considered to be the top contenders for the coveted master's title are the present and past master's title holders Jun Bantug, Ronald Bautista, Wilson Bacala, Benny Mondoy and Jett Cabana. Game schedule: Nov. 26: Team event, shadow bowl at 7:15 P.M., roll-off at 7:30 P.M. Nov. 27: Opening ceremony (1:30 P.M.) to be followed by doubles and singles events. Nov. 28: Masters event (Top 36). Shadow bowl at 8:45 A.M., roll-off at 9:00 A.M. The tournament will be played via FIQ format and at stake are juicy cash prizes, elegant trophies and attractive gift items plus raffle bonanza.
