With regard to the article "Recognition of the State of Palestine is a must" (Dec. 13), it is high time that the whole Muslim Ummah did something to stop the sufferings of our Palestinian brethren. This article is a wake-up call for all concerned. Mohd. J, Online response I agree that it is time to give a real chance to peace. What was done before involved hypocrisy. It is not only a matter of signing treaties, but also of building trust and believing in a common future. It implies sincere commitment and an authentic desire for peace on the part of political and religious leaders and civil society in general. If nothing serious is done, the worst is yet to come. The King Abdullah Peace Plan is a very good one. This land is devoted to peace, love, justice and honor. Not to violence! Hélène Mathieu-Venard, Online response The wonderful thing about recognizing Palestine is that the citizens will finally be able to stop calling themselves "refugees" and living on UNRWA handouts generation after generation. They will be able to live with dignity and hope when they are called citizens and will be able to live on their own work not on charity. Marco, Online response
