INTERNATIONAL design leaders are set to descend on Dubai for Autodesk University Extension (AUx) Dubai 2014, one of the Middle East's leading design events, organizers Omnix International announced Tuesday. Autodesk is one of the world's most widely-used 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, used by design professionals such as engineers, architects, digital artists, students, and hobbyists. Demonstrating the strong interest from the Middle East's design community, Omnix International is predicting a 20 percent increase at the third annual AuX Dubai. Held under the theme of “Learn, Connect, Explore”, AUx Dubai 2014 will run on Dec.17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Key speakers will include Jon Pittman, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Autodesk, who will present a keynote speech on “The Future of How Things Are Made.” Taking experiences from his 20-plus-year career in the CAD field, Robert Green, Owner, Robert Green Consulting, will present on “Getting the Most from Your Software.” Cadalyst magazine columnist Lynn Allen and Autodesk's Technical Evangelist will present “Get Current!
