With regard to the article "Haj: Who gets to go?" (Oct. 15), Muslims are required to perform Haj only once in their lifetime. Those who perform Haj more than once are contributing to the large crowd and are inconveniencing other Muslims who have saved their money in order to be able to come from distant parts of the world to perform Haj. I believe that those who perform Haj multiple times are selfish. Even though they may be financially able, healthy and physically fit, this does not give them the right to crowd others and interfere with their right to perform Haj. Why don't Muslims just follow the teachings of Islam? T. Tawfiq, Online response
