Jazeera Airways Group announced a record net profit of KD3.9 million for the second quarter of 2013, making the first half of 2013 the airline's most profitable first half in history. The company had previously announced a record net profit of KD3.6 million for the first quarter. Jazeera Airways Group's record H1 earnings bolster the company's track-record of 12 straight quarters of profitability. The company witnessed record profitability in 11 of 12 quarters. The Group's revenue in the first half of 2013 increased 9 percent to KD30.8 million against the same period last year. Its operating profit soared 48 percent to KD9.5 million, from H1 2012, while net profit surged 95 percent to KD7.5 million over the same period last year. Jazeera Airways operated the first half of the year with an average load factor of 70 percent and carried 4.1 percent more passengers than the same period last year. Jazeera Airways Group Chairman Marwan Boodai said “we started the year with the objective of building on last year's momentum, and we've been successful so far as reflected in the first half financial, operational, and commercial results. We've carried more passengers than the same period of last year, with the average load factor exceeding targets while maintaining operational excellence.
