With regard to the article “We may stop breeding children” (June 27), it should be pointed out that the forms sent to hospital laboratories are filled in by hand and that the writing is often illegible. Patients' names are never complete, only a few letters can be deciphered, and the rest is just guesswork. The numbers 4 and 9 invariably look the same. Bar-code stickers are nonexistent, but at the very least simple computer generated printed stickers with the patient's name, record number, etc. should be made mandatory.
