JEDDAH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) warned of thunderstorms that may lead to torrential rain and hail in most regions of Saudi Arabia in the coming days. It said that weather fluctuations are expected in most regions of the Kingdom during the period from Saturday to Wednesday. According to NCM forecasts, the regions of Asir, Jazan, Al-Baha, and Makkah will witness medium to heavy thunderstorms from Saturday to Wednesday. Madinah, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, and Hail regions will witness medium to heavy thunderstorms from Sunday evening until Wednesday, and this weather condition will extend to Qassim and the eastern regions on Wednesday. The center stated that Makkah is expected to witness light to medium thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday and that may extend to Tabuk on Sunday and Monday while most regions of the Kingdom will witness a rise in temperatures from Saturday to Tuesday. According to the forecasts, the regions of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Hail, Al-Qassim, Madinah, the western parts of the Riyadh region, and the eastern parts of the regions of Makkah, Al-Baha and Asir will witness sandstorm from Saturday to Tuesday.
