MAKKAH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the success of the Tafweej (grouping) plan for pilgrims after 90% of them had completed the stoning ritual at the Jamarat. The ministry said that the success of Tafweej also came after the pilgrims who were in a hurry left Mina on the second day of the Tashriq to the Grand Mosque in Makkah to perform the Tawaf Al-Wida (farewell circumambulation) after completing the stoning ritual at the three Jamarat. The ministry pointed out that the pilgrims have performed their rituals of this year's Hajj amid an integrated system of services that were prepared by the sectors participating in the Hajj operation with the continuous support of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman that sought to facilitate their lifetime spiritual journey and perform the rites in peace and tranquility. The pilgrim's grouping process proceeded according to the plans that were prepared previously in cooperation with the government agencies participating in the Hajj operation, the ministry said. The ministry confirmed that it was keen on the safety of the pilgrims during the Tafweej phase, noting that it had distributed them at multiple stations, including: the Kudai parking, Jabal Al- Kaaba parking, the Ri Bakhsh parking, the Shaab Amer parking, the transport station in Jarwal yard, and others. No reports have been received regarding problems related to grouping of pilgrims at the Jamarat facility or while the pilgrims were on their way to the Grand Mosque, the ministry stated. It is noteworthy that the pilgrims will complete their rituals on the third day of Tashreeq on Tuesday July12, after which they will proceed to perform the Tawaf Al-Wida, which is the last ritual of Hajj. The ministry indicated that the pilgrims will finish their rituals amid a detailed procedural and preventive plan, in addition to direct field follow-up and full coordination between the relevant security and civil sectors participating in the 2022 Hajj season.
