LuLu opens new hypermarket in Dammam
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 02 - 03 - 2022

To further expand its retail presence in the Kingdom, LuLu launched its newest store in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Located in the busy Othman Ibn Affan Street of Al Rayyan District, the 26th store in the Kingdom and the group's 224th branch globally, is designed as a modern and spacious retail experience that shoppers will enjoy.
The store was inaugurated by Bader Sulaiman Al Reziza — chairman of the Board of Directors Al Sharqia Chamber, in the presence of LuLu Group Chairman and Managing Director Yusuffali M.A, prominent government officials and dignitaries.
Over 100,000 square feet, the store offers customers a full grocery arena of a well-stocked supermarket and fresh food section as well as the LuLu crowd-pleasers, such as the BLSH beauty counter, the department store, and LuLu Connect, the digital and electronics marketplace with the latest gadgets and brands.
"We are delighted with the expansion of our presence in Saudi Arabia," said LuLu Group Chairman Yusuffali M.A. "The Kingdom represents a vibrant market powered by young energy and new vision, which we believe fits the LuLu template, too, as we grow and expand and bring new energy to the MENA retail market."
The latest trends are well-marked in the store with an extensive Organic Foods counter, a colorful and nutritious Salad Bar, Health and Diet Food and amazing world cuisine made by LuLu's in-house chefs — from fresh sushi to biryani and delightful munchies. The meat section boasts knowledgeable butchers who can advise on premium meat cuts and a large seafood section featuring the best catch of the world's oceans.
The bakery offers fresh-baked breads, delicious cakes and pastries which can be accompanied by freshly squeezed juices and smoothies to start off the day.
All customer needs are catered to, with a varied range of pet food as well. To complete the circle, the store features an extensive variety of produce "proudly grown in the KSA" as part of the LuLu philosophy of 'Eat Local'.
The single-level store has special emphasis on easy access and check out with ample car parking for convenient shopping. There will be exciting promotions and deals on offer for the opening week to welcome shoppers to their favorite retail experience. — SG
