MANILA — Filipino actress Angelica Panganiban was once offered to leave ABS-CBN after more than a decade of being an exclusive talent of the television network. In an interview with the entertainment magazine StarStudio, the 26-year-old actress said she had been offered to transfer by a rival network, but decided not to turn it down. “I feel like I would be going to another country ... a new home, a new community and new adjustments,” she told StarStudio which wrote a cover story about her for its April 2013 issue. Panganiban said she consulted her mom Annabelle, handler Cris Navarro, and friends about the offer, but ultimately decided to stay loyal to ABS-CBN. Panganiban, who has been in showbiz for 20 years, has been with ABS-CBN which has managed his career since she joined showbiz when she was still a child actress. In the April issue of StarStudio, Paganiban recalls the time she started as a child actress up to the time when she decided to shed her good girl image for a more mature and daring onscreen persona. She also recalls her break-up with former boyfriend-actor Derek Ramsay, and opens up on her relationship with current partner John Lloyd Cruz. — SG
