The ninth “Magic Carpet” exhibition will be held in the holy month of Ramadan to present handicraft and other works of Saudi women. Under the patronage of Princess Sarah Al-Anqari, the 4-day exhibition starting Sept. 15 at Jeddah Hilton will showcase handicraft and other small business products. More than a hundred companies from inside and outside the Kingdom will take part in the exhibition. A large number of visitors are expected at the exhibition which will demonstrate the great importance the Saudi society is giving to women engaged in small businesses. The “Magic Carpet” exhibition was held in Riyadh for the first time after having been successfully held in Jeddah for nine years. The Riyadh exhibition was held under the patronage of Princess Hisah Al-Shalan, wife of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Charity committees from Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries such as “Mawahib” committee from Lebanon and Jordan are going to be part of the exhibition. __
