JEDDAH — The Engineers Welfare Forum (EWF) held an Iftar dinner recently in solidarity with oppressed Muslims in Burma, Syria, Palestine and elsewhere. Prayers were offered to end the torture and persecution of Muslims in Syria, Burma, Palestine and Kashmir. Attendees also prayed for a quick resolution to Pakistanis stranded in Bangladeshi camps for the past four decades. Khawar Iqbal presented a lecture on the sanctity of Ramadan and importance of charity and Mufit Habibur Rahman spoke about Ramadan and the universal message of the Qur'an. The event was presided by Pakistani Consul General Abdul Salik Khan. He commended the EWF for promoting the image of Pakistan by holding professional and social activities and helping the community.
