Blackhawks keep winning
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 11 - 11 - 2016

Left winger Artemi Panarin scored 25 seconds into overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues, extending their winning streak to seven games.
The Blackhawks began the overtime on a 4-on-3 power play because of a delay of game penalty on Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo with 1:36 to go in regulation.
The winning goal came one second after the penalty expired.
The Blues tied the game with 2:11 to go in the third period on a blast by Pietrangelo.
Chicago's Corey Crawford had protected a 1-0 lead since right-winger Marian Hossa scored just 1:22 into the second period.
Hossa's goal, his seventh of the season, came off a rebound after goalie Jake Allen stopped the initial shot by defenseman Gustav Forsling but could not corral the rebound.
Blackhawks center Artem Anisimov, the league's leading scorer, had to leave the game because of an undisclosed injury in the second period.
Blue Jackets 3, Ducks 2 (OT)
Rookie defenseman Zach Werenski scored 1:21 into overtime, the first game-winning goal of his career, as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Anaheim Ducks.
Brandon Saad had a goal and an assist, and Boone Jenner also scored for Columbus. Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves.
Rikard Rakell and Nick Ritchie scored for the Ducks, who got 15 saves from John Gibson.
Senators 2, Sabres 1 (SO)
Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris scored in the shootout to lead the Ottawa Senators to victory over the Buffalo Sabres. Ryan scored the decisive goal in the second round of the shootout. The right winger made a strong deke to his forehand, forcing Sabres goalie Robin Lehner to his right, and Ryan tucked his shot into the net.
Sabres captain Brian Gionta came up short on Buffalo's third and final attempt. With hopes of extending the shootout, Gionta was foiled by Senators goalie Mike Condon's poke-check.
Nicholas Baptiste scored in regulation for the Sabres and Lehner made 28 saves.
Ryan Dzingel scored in regulation for the Senators. Condon had 31 saves.
