Festival match ends MCA season

Saudi Oger beat Madina Cricket Association's (MCA) Select-XI by three wickets in a festival match organized to mark the end of the cricket season here recently.
Opting to bat first MCA 220-9 in 30 overs. Saudi Oger, champion of the 1st MCA Natco Cup tournament, overhauled the total for the loss of seven wickets and with an over in hand.
MCA openers Fayyaz Chauhan (51 runs) and Aamir khan (42) gave their team a solid start. Zohaib and Bilal added 27 runs each. Rashid and Manzoor Nakyana claimed three wickets each, while Usman bagged two and Azhar one for Saudi Oger.
Saudi Oger in reply reached the target in 29 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Captain Azher Mahmood scored 73 runs to claim the man of the match award. He hammered seven boundaries and one towering six. Among the other batsmen Akram made 23, Abdul Rehman 21 and Manzoor Nakyana 20 runs. Abdul Razzaq claimed three wickets, while Bilal took two for MCA.
Azmat and Ali from United Stars officiated the match.
MCA held a prize distribution ceremony for 1st MCA Natco Cup cricket tournament after the match at Al-Aqool Cricket Ground No. 4.
On behalf of Natco Saudi Arabia Mohammad Iqbal Chaudry, who is also the president of Jeddah Cricket Association, presided over the ceremony. Vice Consul Welfare of Pakistan Consulate Jeddah Jehangir Virk attended the ceremony as chief guest. Ex-president MCA Aslam Mughal, poet and researcher Dr. Naeem Hamid Al-Hamid were among the dignitaries.
1st MCA Natco Cup was given to Saudi Oger captain Azher Mahmood; runner-up trophy was received by Bismillah Eleven captain Mohammed Rafique; Man of the Match in final went to Manzoor Nakyana; 2nd runner-up trophy was given to Pak Eagle captain Mohammed Sharafat; Man of the Match in third position match was given to Aamir; Consolation cup was won by United Stars; Man of the Tournament awarded to Rashid Mahmood of Saudi Oger; Best Bowler award went to Mohammed Rafique; Best Batsmen Zohaib of Zultec and Rashid Mahmood of Saudi Oger.
