Ministry of Labor Denies Reports on Exemption from the SR 2400 labor fees
Published in Alriyadh on 13 - 10 - 2015

Ministry of Labor denied what was raised recently on the social networking websites and a number of online newspapers, on the exemption of existing establishments working in the Saudi market, in absolute terms of SR 2400 fees, noting that the decision to impose annual fees was issued by the Cabinet in its meeting held on 25 Dhu al-Hijjah 1432, which stated that the Ministry of Labor will be the executing agency for collection of the fees, on issuing or renewing work permits for expatriate workers.
The ministry said in a clarification today, that the exemption has previously extended to small enterprises as issued by the Cabinet, which agreed in its meeting held on 25 Sha'ban 1435 AH, to exempt small enterprises (nine workers or less) of the fees paid (SR2400 per annum) for four migrant workers if its owner is himself part of the workforce, provided that he is not registered as a worker in any other establishment, as well as the exemption of a small establishment, which has a total staff of nine workers or less, including the owner.
The Ministry of Labor stressed the importance of accuracy circulating information before publication, and to take them from their main sources so as not to cause the spread of rumors.
The Ministry of Labor pointed to its website at the following link https://www.mol.gov.sa/ which contain accurate information about it to those who wanted to be informed and to expand knowledge of related labor market regulations and be briefed on the ministry's official news issued from its media center.
