Ayoon Wa Azan (The Arabs Are Giving Israel Legitimacy
Published in AL HAYAT on 28 - 10 - 2010

If I move away from Israel, then Israel follows me with its crimes and the lies of its advocates everywhere. While the whole world seeks to delegitimize this fascist state, the Arabs are giving it legitimacy through negotiations and through both the secret and declared contacts they make with Israel.
Israel is backed by those who resemble her. There is nothing or no one who is more obnoxious or fanatical than Michael Oren, Israel's ambassador in Washington. Originally, he is an American from New Jersey who immigrated to Israel to snatch a Palestinian home, and who then subsequently returned to represent the Likud in his original country, for which he never had any real allegiance.
For weeks now, I have been reading the reactions coming from America to the speeches given by the ambassador in several of Washington's synagogues, on the occasion of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement. Oren urged American Jews to be allegiant to Israel, i.e. to betray their country, since it is the U.S. support for Israel that made the United States hated all around the world, and put its interests in risk. This is not to mention the costs of this “special relationship”, which the U.S. taxpayers have to bear, in the form of military and economic aid, and tax-exempt donations.
I requested a copy of Oren's speech. I found him to have lied with every single word that he said. However, I chose to start with the prophet Jonah, whom the Likudnik ambassador began his speech with. What I understood from Oren's talk is that Jonah was put in a lose-lose situation whether he carried out God's will or not, and that the same situation faces the Netanyahu government, whether it goes all the way in the path of peace, or refuses to pay the price for it in which case it loses as well.
The Book of Jonah falls in four chapters in only two pages near the end of the Hebrew Bible. Jonah belongs to a group of Jewish prophets that they call the lesser prophets, and include prophets such as Balaam, who received God's revelations through his donkey, according to the Torah's account. Personally, I think the donkey was regurgitating, and that Balaam probably suffered a sun stroke, and that his story is yet another biblical myth.
Jonah refused the Lord's orders to go to Nineveh and tell them that God will obliterate them if they do not repent their sins. He tried to flee to Tarshish at the end of the world, but the sea became tempestuous. Then the whale swallowed Jonah, and Jonah stayed for three days in the whale's belly. The whale then spat him at the orders of the Lord unto dry land. Jonah then went to Nineveh, and the people of the city thereupon obeyed the Lord's commands and repented.
For inexplicable reasons, Jonah was greatly displeased by this, and asked the Lord to take his soul, “for it is better for me to die than to live”. There is then talk about God "regretting” the evil that he said he would cast upon the people of Nineveh but did not, and that the King of Nineveh ordered his people to repent their sins in the hope that God might “rue”.
God regrets? God errs and rues? God casts evil? This does not resemble religion as I know it.
Oren spoke repeatedly about Israel as a democratic state. But Israel is not a state. It is an illegal settlement outpost in the lands of the Palestinians, the rightful owners of the land, and the only party that can give Israel the legitimacy to exist on its land in a peace deal. Nor is Israel democratic, as it does not equate among its citizens and as its ruling gang seeks to proclaim it as a Jewish state, which translates into denying non-Jews the right to be treated equally.
What is even more sinister than these brazen lies is that Oren claimed that Israel is facing fateful decisions, just like Jonah did, and might lose regardless of what decision it takes as a result. He said that Hezbollah's stockpile of missiles has increased four times. I personally heard that the group has 30 thousand rockets, and I hope that it has 40 thousand. He also spoke of 15 thousand rockets fired by Hamas against Israel. But what he did not say is that these rockets killed only two Israelis, and that Israel, during the same timeframe, killed five thousand Palestinians, including 1350 minors.
Oren also tackled the peace process and lied once again when he said that Israel gave up land but still did not get peace. Here I say that the whole of the land belongs to Palestine, that Israel has never existed in history and that there are no traces of its alleged kingdoms on our land whatsoever. If there should be any giving and taking, it is the Palestinians alone who can give up land to these thieves.
Oren then moves onto the issue of Iran, after which the hill of lies became a mountain. He said that Iran is radical and genocidal. But how exactly is it so? He said that the leaders of Iran regularly call for Israel's annihilation. But this is a lie worthy of Goebbels, in that it is repeated so many times to make people believe it. What Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, quoting Ayatollah Khomeini, was that the regime in Israel needs to be changed, but he did not speak of any annihilation.
While I have a thousand objections to the Iranian president's policies, these do not include any against an Iranian bid to acquire nuclear weapons, so long as Israel possesses such weapons.
Israel is a terrorist state, its government criminal and fascist. Its ambassador in Washington is a vile extremist, and peace is not possible with these thieves. They have the audacity to lie about what is happening today, and had the audacity before that to lie to God and forge history, and then found some who believe them.
If my opinion represents one party, then tomorrow, I shall talk about South Africa's opinion on the world's only surviving apartheid state.
